Great Vacation In Jamaica

People from all over the world have had great vacations in Jamaica. The warm and bright sunshine alway lightens up your day. The great beaches and rivers are always excellent and one is sure to enjoy the beautiful landscape.

I have been to Shaw Park Beach Hotel and Spa recently and I really enjoyed myself. They had lots of Jamaican dishes on their menu. They also had entertainment at dinner and the room accommodations were ok. Shaw Park Hotel is in Ocho Rios one of the great tourist location in Jamaica. Ocho Rios is filled with restaurants and entertainment areas for persons who wish to enjoy their vacation outside of the hotel. There are also lots of nature tours that will alow you to understand the traditions and customs of the Jamaican people.

Beautiful Small Hotel In Jamaica

St. Ann is one of the beautiful parishes in Jamaica where tourist would like to spend their vacation. In St. Ann there are a number of hotels, small villas, great rivers, wonderful beaches and beautiful landscapes. The last time I went to St. Ann, I spent two days at the Runaway Bay Heart Hotel. This small but beautiful hotel is located in Runaway Bay, St. Ann, Jamaica. Even though the Runaway Bay Heart Hotel is not beside the beautiful white sand beach of Jamaica, it is about 15 - 20 minutes drive from the “Porto Seco Beach” in Discovery Bay, St. Ann. This may seem to be a disadvantage for persons spending their vacation there, but it gives you the opportunity to go out and view the other cool spots that exist between Discovery Bay and Runaway Bay. There are other natural attractions in close proximity to the hotel that you will enjoy.

The Runaway Bay Heart Hotel is also a great location for small groups who are not fancy in spending time in a hotel that try to give you everything, hindering you from viewing the outer communities of St. Ann. At this location you will feel to explore the out parts of the town and even learn to get around on your own.

The ground of this hotel is very beautiful, with natural fresh air and a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea.

How can I forget the food was great! They have a very wonderful dinning area with a Bar and Live music in the evenings.

Spring Break Destinations

Montego Bay and Negril are two perfect locations for those who which to spend spring break in Jamaica. Both of these destinations are filled with attractions and party areas for tourist.

Negril is known for its numerous white sand beaches, spectacular water falls and amazing forest tour. Negril is filled with small resorts and villas that offer wonderful Jamaican dishes for visitors.  If one would like to sit and watch the beautiful sunset Negril is the perfect location.

Montego Bay which is known as the tourist capital of the Caribbean is filled with great beach resorts and hotels. These hotels offer great accommodations with fun filled activities for the full length of your vacation. In Montego Bay you are able to visit bars, game lounges, great restaurants, go on boat rides, walk and play on the beach and much more.

Beautiful Landscape - Jamaica.

Jamaica has some of the most beautiful scenes in the world. However, the better scenes of Jamaica's beautiful landscape is experienced in the hilly parts of the island. One of the many places tourist can go to take advantage of beautiful sceneries in Jamaica is Mystic Mountian.

Mystic Mountain is located in the Resort Town of Ochio Rios, St. Ann. Ochio Rois is rated as one of the best tourist destination in the Caribbean with alot of resturants and small beach resorts. Mystic Mountain is the place to go if you want to experience great scenes from their Sky Explorer, take a speedy ride with you family and friends in a Bobsled, take it easy in a pool and view over 20 acres of Rain-forest on a Zip-line.

A resturant is also located on the 100 acres of land to explore.



Mystic Mountain is about 4 minutes ride from the Cruise Ship Pier in the town and about the same distance from Dunns River Falls. Mystic Mountain is about 2hrs bus ride from Montego Bay.

Jamaica's Summary

Jamaica is a beautiful island located in the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the many islands that make up the West Indies and is an active state and member of Caricom. Jamaica is located south of Cuba and north of Panama.  Jamaica is among the tropical countries in the world with bright sun shine and beautiful white sand beaches. Jamaica is some times described as the land of wood and water.

According to many historical sources Jamaica was made know to the wider world by the Spanish in 1494 and was later govern by the English in 1655. Jamaica is not very large but is among the Greater Antilles (larger islands in the Caribbean) of the West Indies. Jamaica is about 4,400 square miles in size, 145 miles in length and 50 miles in width.

Jamaica has a lot of mountainous areas with the Blue Mountains being the highest point. A number of unique animals such as birds, insects, and fish among other animals are located on the land. The beaches of this beautiful island are classified as some of the best in the world and rivers are used as a unique attraction for tourist.

Jamaica gain independence in August 1962 and have grown into a developing country. The month of August is an important time for Jamaica because number of cultural activities that take place during this time.

Jamaica is rated as one of the best tourist location because of the great beach resorts, music, culture, landscape and food among others. The people in Jamaica are some of the warmest in Caribbean and they love to share their cultural history with visitors.

Jamaica has produced a number of great personalities such as Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Usian Bolt, Merlene Ottey, Veronica Campbell, Asafa Powell, the Sun Shine Girls and the Reggae Boys, among others.
